New New New

Forever ago was the last time I posted.
So much has happened- I actually have story ideas in my head! It is really great. It has been so long since I had some inspiration. But, what really sucks, is that now I have inspiration but no time to think of. I have a drama final performance on Friday, so I have rehearsal every day after school this week. I work 4 shifts this week. Final exams start the middle of next week. It is finally spring so there is tons of yard work to do. Did I also mention that I also try to maintain a social life on top of that? You may think it's sad, but most of my social life happens at work. I love it there, I really do. It's so much fun, and the people are so much fun. Boston Pizza for the win! Wow, now I feel like a really lame BP's promoter. Haha.

- I am going to Italy this summer, for 5 weeks, without my parents. Am I pumped? You sure bet I am. I'm going with AFS, an exchange program with kids
from all over the world. I am so excited. I've been doing some research on Italy, and it is breathtakingly beautiful. I mean just look at the these:

-Boston Pizza got a new menu. I don't know if any of you eat there, but it's starting Monday, June 8th. There's some new stuff in there, like a chicken & pepper strombolie (which looks amazing), a couple new salads, a burger, whole wheat pizza crust, lava cake and more. Yum. I am excited. I will have something new to eat at work. I hope I don't get in trouble for saying that...

- This reminded me of my friend. Sam, if you read this, this is for you. I found a video of The Veronicas covering 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' and it made me laugh. Me and Sam always play SingStar, which is basically karaoke, and 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' is our best song, if you can believe me. So this made me think of you honey.

- So where I live, here in Yellowknife, we have two high schools. They have grad on different weekends. This weekend was the Catholic high school's grad. I live down the street from the church where they have their 'Grad Mass', and I was walking home from work yesterday evening in the rain and found a flower on the sidewalk. I am assuming it was from the grads, but that's not the point. I don't know if anyone else ever feels this way, but sometimes I see something and I immediately feel like someone else. Like I'm living a different life. Like I am suddenly in a movie or book. And I love it, so much. The dirt covered flower lying in the puddle on the sidewalk made me think of that.

-I don't know if any of you have ever played in a concert band, it is an amazing experience. Anyways, we play a compilation of songs from 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and there is this one section where all you hear are the basses, suspended symbol, Chinese gong, low brass and bass drum. It is my favorite part of the song, but you actually feel it. It rumbles through your body to your very core. It is one of the craziest, most amazing feelings ever, and I love it. It very rarely happens, so I treasure it when it does. All you hear, feel, see and think is the music. For that split second of time, nothing else exists. It is simply amazing. I hope everyone feels that at least once in their life- you don't need to join a band (although that is the most effective way). Dancing to euro-pop with lights timed to the beat can do the same thing.

-Finally, and most excitingly, there is the very first New Moon teaser out! Yay! Looks pretty cool, what do you think?
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON trailer in HD

Best Parts? Laurent, for sure. He wins the award for this one. That editing sequence with him was cool too. And Kristen was great there too.

Birthday Party? Yeah! Way better effects then Twilight, thankfully.

Edward. Really great. Rob nailed it, in my opinion. And that clip with Kristen on the ground? So perfect. Exactly like the book.

Well, that was quite some random rambling. I hope some of you made it to the end so you could watch that New Moon trailer. Pretty cool stuff. I am so pumped for this movie. ANYWAYS, I should leave it at that, seeing as I have to read 153 pages of 'The Kite Runner' for tomorrow. No sleep tonight!
